Rebuilding the Mav( Entering Tuff Truck)

There sure is some big bog holes in the Gatta.
A few that will put your 4by below ground level even.

There is some spots in river crossings that will put you entirely submerged too.

Well after 5 pages of me not knowing what i'm doing with the POS, it's going to be built to enter Tuff Truck :minigunmad:

If you've never heard of it here's a link to what i'm banging on about

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ci9QyB6n ... 1&index=81

Spoken to Stu, it's booked to go in for MAJOR suspension work in September, the Plan now is

14" Remote Res Coil overs in the Rear
12" Coil overs in the Front
4 Link Rear
Wheel base extension, don't know how long, but as long as it will go

I'm getting happy again about owning the thing

Nah it will be getting re-engineered, so i should be able to drive it on the Road still, but i'm sure it will get a bit more attention than it already does
It certainly WONT be a daily driver though

So what's the life expectancy of a 'Tough Truck'? They seem to roll over and play dead a lot...

Well it's booked in to start work on the 13 of September, then i will be Broke

Should take about 2 weeks, and i'm running again :minigunmad:

Joe i might need some help with the Floor, because it's getting cut out

Gruni, dunno really, but most get rebuilt every year

Depending on Money, i MIGHT make 2011 TTC, but the POS will need the Cage redone to pass modern safty specs, and that wont be cheap

Not till October Scuba

Don't worry though there will be LOTS of pics posted once the work starts, at the minute its just a VERY expensive pile of parts at the minute

What's this Jones road you talk of?

If the Feb weekend is happening again, i will be there for sure, already booked it in with the Wife

So Scuba are we laying bets on if i'll make it up this Big Red

I have managed to swap my 43% reduction in my Transfer case, for a set of 83% reduction, so i should be able to spin up the new rubber all right

The best part about these Tyres apart from being 40" , is there stickys, so the more heat they get into them the more they grip, and as they wear they get more grippy too, i'm gunna need more CV's

Looks like you need some serious panel work to allow those suckers to move up and down and stuff!! Those are some seriously get stuffed tyres!!!! :minigunmad: I am guessing you will pretty much need to put this bitch on a trailer to 'go ANYWHERE!'

Gruni, the front is pretty easy, i'm getting some Fibreglass Gaurds that are made to suit a 42" tyre, so it'll fit easy

Trailer, nah then i'll have to buy something that can tow it

I wont be driving far on these tyres as they don't last long  , so if i go to Wessy\Warby, i'll drive it up there with them on, but if it's much further i will have to Trailer the Tyres out there, then put them on later

I've also put my name down for my first Comp, it's not untill next August, but it will be Tuff Trucks V Winch challenge 4WD's, Vic V NSW, it going to be held on the Border some where
