I'm cringing for Robo's version after Scuba told me about the Husky...

The guys who came through the chat room seemed pretty pumped though! :bravo:

Fantastic.

Being Fathers Day and 11:29 pm before getting a minute to myself I will compose my report tomorrow however, safe to say, the Husky needs some repairs

Well I had a ball of a time too
Great to meet & greet some more of the ORC members & catch up with others again.
I met up with Scuba, Robo & Boots in Trafalgar & then we convoyed to boolarra, catching up to Blitzem & Langers allong the way. All fairly sedate untill we got to the front gate of the event entrance.

Wheelspinning of the cars began uppon entry of the muddy driveway just to get to our parking spot. The grass paddock was squishy & wet under foot. A few of us managed to get our cars up the hill somewhat & park neaty in a row. Langers & Boots just parked where their cars gave up.

Thanks to Scuba for supplying ORC members with ORC/Redlight Ride T-shirts.
They look great.

Registration, scrutineering & noise tests over & done with it was time to gear up.
After a cuppa & catching up with other members we headed of to the staging area for talks from ride organisers, CFA, Police, Christine Nixon & DSE, Parks Vic.

Ride was officially opened & time to warm up the bikes & the first lot of riders were let onto the track in groups of about 10.

from the starting grid we did a small grass loop in the padock & headed into the forrest. The course had a great mix of conditions from single trail to open tracks, loamy, muddy & red clay and some rutted surfaces.
Tracks flowed well & there were no bottlenecked areas with riders held up.
I think most of our group only did one loop in the morning.

A meal voucher was given to each entrant & we could cash them in for ether Breakfast or lunch. During the lunch break raffle tickets, prizes were drawn & freebies were tossed into the crowd.
Stubby holders, tshirts, sunshades, etc.
I won a pair of Fox Goggles for having the quietest bike on the day (80Db).

After lunch we headed off again on the track in the reverse direction.
There was quite a few off's during the day with Robo riding the bike which sustained the most damage & Jay with the most body damage (couple of fractured ribs, a torn muscle in his shoulder, fractured bones in his right hand & a bruised arm).

I did a second afternoon loop with 4 others & that was a nice flowing lap - no rests, just re-grouping at some corners.

Changed out of our ride gear we headed of to the Boolarra Hotel where we set up camp, got a feed, listened to the band churn out a good mix of tunes & relaxed with a few(a lot for some) bevridges for the evening/morning.

After hours festivities - sorry for the lack of light(it was night time...)

PS. That's my drink!! the first of many.
since royden was electing to have a quiet night i figured it was my duty to the group to pick up his slack!

Lucy rode great :bravo:

I think I heard 120 or so riders, but it wasn't congested on the tracks.

Yep, I be looking forward to next year's ride

Hmmm where to start....
At the beginning i suppose.
I was born back around 1966 or thereabouts, everyone rejoiced the event or were they crying?
Nah fuggit it will take too long, here's the abridged version:

I left here Friday morning to pick up Dazzamatazz en route at around 1 pm to arrive at the Boolarra pub at around 4.30 ish in the pissing rain.
We were almost the first ones there and all up i think there were about 30 or so early arrivals that night.
Once camp was made it stopped raining and the skies cleared to give a beautiful starry night.
Had a few brews around someone elses fire to stave off the cold and hit the sack around 1 am.
Awoke [numerous times actually] to find 5mm of ice on the bikes etc in the morning, was certainly the most refreshing morning i have felt for years and was far more bitter than Wooragee was in the middle of winter with -2 temps, dunno how cold it was but it was friggen cold let me tell ya.

Arrived at the venue at around 9ish? to get ourselves ready for the ride and after a fairly long pre-ride riders brief we were on the tracks at around 10.
This should take care of the next bit:
